Information Technology Expert Rich Schierer

Rich Schierer’s career in computers started back in 1994 when he became frustrated while dealing with the Tech Support department for the company from which he had purchased his new computer. Due to a lack of ‘listening’ by numerous Tech Support Representatives and the subsequent resolution by a non-technical person, Rich became aware that computers weren’t so complicated; you just had to ‘listen’ to people and ask the right questions. From that point on he decided that he could and would do better and set out to find training.

Since that day, Rich has worked in the IT departments of various companies. From his humble beginnings running around NYC as an outside tech to being an IT Manager for a startup company, he has grown up with the Windows operating system both on PCs and networks, both in the home and in various sized companies.

Today Rich works with various small businesses on Long Island, NY. Showing them how to ‘Take the Mystery Out of Technology’! From computer upgrades/repairs to setting up wireless networks, he takes the time to take the mystery out working with a computer.

As an Information Technology consultant and professional, he works with small and medium sized business owners showing them how to use current technology to their advantage and by ‘listening’ to how they do business, what their processes are and the problems that they are having with their present technology. He then creates a road map on how technology can be used to streamline business tasks.

Rich sits on a number of committees is a valued member of several local associations and thoroughly enjoys helping spread the word on how technology can be very simple if you just ‘listen’ to your customers and business associates!

As of November 2007, Rich is proud to have become a Microsoft Registered Partner. This give him access to Microsoft resources and talent just like the bigger companies!
